Lead Pipeline Engineer

Ian helps clients manage pipeline assets safely and effectively through practical engineering advice and strong technical leadership. With more than 17 years’ experience in engineering, he specialises in AS/NZS 2885 compliance and pipeline integrity.

Ian brings technical knowledge in fracture control, inline inspection planning and execution, and asset integrity management. He has led multidisciplinary teams across New Zealand and Australia on complex pipeline projects.

At Five-D, Ian manages multi-pipeline installations, develops engineering repair solutions and supports continuous improvements in pipeline engineering tools. He is known for his practical, fit-for-purpose approach and the trusted relationships he builds with clients.
